Two teens charged with shooting into a home in Garden Lakes last month

Two Rome teens are accused of shooting at a home on Plymouth Road in Garden Lakes back on April 21.

17-year-old Gregory Geemar North Jr. and 17-year-old Chason Larry Smith are facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity, and possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18.

According to the arrest warrant:

Over 15 shots were fired and two people were inside the residence.

The shooting occurred just hours after a house on East 15th Street, where Smith’s family lives, was shot at.

Smith was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Thursday.

North, a purported member of the “Brothers for Life” criminal street gang, has been in jail since April 22 and was already facing multiple charges related to gang activity and stolen firearms.
