Thursday morning the Rome Floyd Chamber hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Nova River District project on West Third Street.

The Nova River District developers recently set up a large crane at the building site as construction for the mixed-use apartment/commercial project has commenced.

In the video above Rome City Manager Sammy Rich, Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord, and Downtown Development Director Aundi Lesley spoke about the history and impact of the project on the community.

Nova River District Project developer Jeff Warwick with CCI Real Estate also gave us more details on what plans are in place for the residential units.
