-Rome Police Department report-

Rome Police have released the incident report regarding a shooting incident last Saturday on Wilson Avenue.

According to the report:

A woman sustained two gunshot wounds to her torso and one to her hand.

She was transported to Atrium Health Floyd for treatment.

An injured pit bull was located inside the residence.

It had apparently sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach.

A witness told officers that a man fired at a crowd in front of the residence and left the scene in a Nissan Sentra.

The investigation has been turned over to the criminal investigations division.
