-Cartersville Police Department News Release-

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, the Cartersville Police Department received a report of a possible inappropriate relationship between a Cartersville High School teacher and a student.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, John Paul Snead was taken into custody by Cartersville Police Department Investigators.

Snead has been charged with sexual assault by a teacher/principal/assistant principal/other administrator engaged in sexual contact (felony). In addition, Snead is charged with sexual battery (misdemeanor). He is lodged at the Bartow County Jail pending a bond hearing.
