Woman arrested on aggravated assault warrant

A Rome woman is accused of pointing a handgun at another person.

According to an arrest warrant for 33-year-old Traiesha Lynnea Patterson:

The incident occurred on March 30 at a residence on Reservoir Street.

Patterson is charged with aggravated assault.

Man charged with burglary

A 40-year-old man from Woodberry, Georgia was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on charges of 1st-degree burglary and criminal trespass.

According to jail records:

Adam Neno Painter entered a dwelling on Martha Berry Highway without the permission of the owner.

Two accused of trying to smuggle drugs into the Floyd County Prison in separate incidents

Two more people have been arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison while they were inmates.

According to arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:

42-year old Chansler Gene Jordan of Perry, Georgia, a validated member of the Gangster Disciples criminal street gang, conspired with others, mainly via recorded phone calls, to have methamphetamine, marijuana, and tobacco placed at a prearranged location on Minshew Mountain Road so it could be retrieved and smuggled into the prison.

The incident occurred on July 9, 2023.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, 51-year-old Terry Lee Warren Jr. of Warner Robins arranged to have meth, marijuana and tobacco dropped off at East View Cemetery on June 11, 2023.

However, law enforcement got there first and found the contraband. 

Both Jordan and Perry are charged with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, possession of items prohibited for inmates, and use of the communications facility to commit a crime involving drugs.

Jordon is additionally charged with participation in criminal street gang activity.
