Man accused of fleeing from police

A West Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with fleeing or attempting to elude.

According to the warrant:

21-year-old Abraham Alexander Francisco Pascual refused to stop his vehicle for police, and accelerated to more than 20 miles per hour over the speed limit on Wilkerson Road on St. Patrick’s Day.

Pascual is also charged with misdemeanor obstruction of officers, reckless driving, and failure to report an accident.

Search warrants lead to drug arrests

The execution of a search warrant on Glenrise Terrace Wednesday resulted in the arrest of a Rome man on marijuana trafficking charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

22-year-old Traceton Gage Timmy Lawrence was found with over ten pounds of marijuana that was individually bagged, along with digital scales and a firearm.

He was additionally charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of drug-related objects.

Meanwhile, the execution of a search warrant on Green Acre Road ended with the arrest of a 31-year-old Rome man.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force Officers found over an ounce of marijuana, and multiple bags of marijuana packaged for resale, along with oxycodone, Xanax, digital scales, a smoking device, and two firearms.

Xavier Martinique Lawrence is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drugs not in the original container, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Woman charged in plot to smuggle drugs into Floyd County Prison

A Columbia, South Carolina woman has been released on bond following her arrest Wednesday on charges of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, possession of items prohibited for inmates, and use of a communications facility to commit a felony.

According to the arrest warrants:

37-year-old Reina Aleece Allen collaborated with an inmate at the Floyd County Prison to acquire and deliver 20 oxycodone pills, more than 58 grams of marijuana, more than 49 grams of methamphetamine, 170 grams of smoking tobacco, and two packs of cigarettes to the inmate’s work detail at the Floyd County Industrial Park.

Allen relayed instructions to a third party and facilitated the conspiracy in January of this year.

Man arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

A 23-year-old Rome man was jailed Wednesday on a felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the warrant:

Gregory Ladell Jackson Jr. was found near a firearm during a shooting incident on Ashland Park Boulevard back on January 25.

He admitted ownership of the Ruger P-85 9mm.

Two charged in theft of motorcycle

Two arrests have been made in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from a location on Old Dalton Road back on January 20.

According to an arrest warrant:

51-year-old Mark Anthony Willamon and 37-year-old Chelsea Deate King, both of Rome, stole the 2003 Kawasaki while the owner was incarcerated.

Williamon and King are charged with felony theft by taking.

Report: Man found with meth pipe at jail

A man initially arrested for loitering or prowling is also facing a felony charge of crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

52-year-old Charles Wendell Hicks Jr. was at someone else’s residence before dawn.

Once at the jail, he was found with a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue.
