Three arrested on human trafficking charges

Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers recently arrested three men on human trafficking charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

32-year-old Tile Ceatrice McGill of Rome made online contact with someone he believed to be under the age of 16, offered to pay for sex acts, and then traveled to meet the child.

He also tried to run from officers.

McGill is additionally charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, electronic enticement of a child, and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement.

Meanwhile, 36-year-old Christoper Jacob Theobald of Dallas and 28-year-old Quintavius Davian Marques Dean of Rome are also accused of offering money for sex acts to someone they thought was a minor and were arrested when they traveled to an undisclosed location in Floyd County to meet the person.

In addition to human trafficking, Theobald is also charged with electronic enticement and criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation while Dean is also charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation.
