One injured in four-vehicle wreck on Redmond Circle

-Rome Police Department report-

One person was injured in a four-vehicle wreck in West Rome Monday evening.

According to a Rome Police Department report:

A 2020 Hyundai Tucson was attempting to turn left into the Sam’s Club parking lot from Redmond Circle.

The driver told police there was a gap in the traffic that she attempted to go through.

The Tucson was t-boned by a 2006 Honda Accord that was traveling south in the far right-hand turn lane.

The impact caused the Tucson to spin and strike two other vehicles.

The driver of the Tucson was cited for failure to yield while turning left.

The driver of the Honda was transported to Atrium Health Floyd for treatment of what were believed to be minor injuries.
