Woman steals over $39,000 from Turner McCall Business:

  • A 40-year-old Silver Creek woman was arrested Tuesday on felony theft charges. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Karen Colleen Stewart of a Rockmart Road address was taken into custody for allegedly stealing over 39,000 dollars from Tropical Smoothie on Turner McCall Blvd. Jail reports stated that Stewart failed to deposit the businesses’ funds into the store’s bank account, keeping it for herself instead. The time of the theft occurred from the time of April 1st, 2022, to May 12th, 2023. Stewart is being charged with felony theft by taking and felony probation violation.

Woman arrested for punching and breaking time clock:

  • A 23-year-old Rome woman was arrested on Tuesday after intentionally breaking a business’s time clock. According to Floyd County Jail records, Gerqueisha Deshunetta Turner was taken into custody after allegedly punching and breaking the device at the Turner McCall McDonalds. The estimated replacement for the device is valued at $2,000. Turner is being charged with Felony criminal damage to property.  

Kingston man arrested for Child Exploitation:

  • A 22-year-old Bartow County man was arrested on Wednesday by the Floyd County Police Department for child exploitation. According to Floyd County Jail records, Kody Skyler Hillegeist of a Gentry Road Kingston address was taken into custody after he was found with a visual medium of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Hillegeist is charged with felony sexual exploitation of children.
