A Cave Spring woman is accused of providing a firearm to a man who is a convicted felon.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Autumn Starr Floyd purchased a Smith and Wesson 659 and then gave it to 31-year-old Joseph Ray Turley of Rome, who she knew had been convicted of a felony.
The firearm was found inside Turley’s vehicle in the parking lot of the Rome Probation Office.
Floyd is charged with a felony count of knowingly providing a firearm to a felony first offender, probationer, or convicted felon.
Turley is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation.
