Calhoun man indicted on multiple counts of child molestation

A Calhoun man has been indicted on a host of child molestation charges.

According to Gordon County Superior Court, Jail, and Calhoun Police Department reports:

Joshua Levi Thompson of Calhoun was indicted by a Gordon County Grand Jury on Jan. 25, on twenty counts of child molestation, four counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of incest, two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes, and four counts of criminal attempt to commit a felony.

Thompson, then 28, was arrested on April 18, 2023, after information was attained by CPD detectives that led them to suspect Thompson had engaged in inappropriate sexual acts with two juveniles. Detectives obtained additional information and gathered sufficient evidence to take Thompson into custody.
