The Floyd County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery in the Armuchee area.

The robbery occurred during the early morning hours of January 12 at 3793 Martha Berry Highway.

According to the incident report:

A man wearing camouflage and a camouflage mask broke out the glass of the storefront window, then pointed a green firearm at the clerk and demanded the cash deposit box which was sitting on a shelf behind the cash register.

The cash box contained $850.
