Rome’s Martin Luther King Commission hosted its annual community Freedom March in downtown Rome on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Participants met at First Avenue and marched down Broad Street together in a sign of unity.

The march ended at Rome City Hall where a program featuring event speakers was hosted in the Rome City Auditorium.

The Keynote Speaker was Rodney Bullard, former college football standout, author, veteran, lawyer, CEO of The Same House, and former director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation.

The event concluded Rome and Floyd County’s four-day celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
