Rome City Commissioners will hear a presentation regarding the Forum during their Monday caucus.

The Forum has been a county facility since its construction in the early 1990s, but it will come under the City of Rome’s ownership due to the recent local option sales tax negotiations.

The commission will also go into executive session to discuss real estate during the caucus, which begins at 5 pm in the Sam King Room at Rome City Hall.

During the regular meeting, which starts at 6:30 pm, commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Alcohol Control Commission for a $2,000 fine and three-month license suspension for Peaches on Broad Street for after-hours consumption.

A public hearing for a rezoning request, the approval of documents related to Georgia Environmental Finance Authority state funding, and the recent city commission election results are also on the agenda for the meeting.
