Charges have been filed in connection with a wreck on November 4 that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Curtis William Womack of Rome turned left onto Martha Berry Highway from Old Dalton Road, using the center turn lane as a merge lane.
His vehicle struck a motorcycle head-on, killing the rider identified as 32-year-old James Jordan Mitchell of Rome.
Womack is charged with 2nd-degree homicide by vehicle and improperly using the central lane, both misdemeanors.
