Man charged with fleeing or attempting to elude

A Rome man is accused of fleeing from police back on October 14.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

30-year-old Shi-Ron TA SHAWN Patton failed to stop when an officer attempted to pull over his vehicle on Highway 411 at Biddy Road.

Patten eventually stopped his vehicle in the parking lot of the Waffle House on 411, but then fled on foot, eluding authorities.

Patton is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, misdemeanor obstruction, a headlight violation, suspended license, and failure to maintain a lane.

Teen charged with gang activity, drug conspiracy

A Rome teen has been arrested and charged with participation in criminal street gang activity and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.

According to an arrest warrant:

18-year-old Jerramyha Nayshion Wright conspired with another to receive and distribute a controlled substance back on July 14.

Wright is also charged with obstruction for allegedly running from officers after being detained on East 15th at Spring Creek Street Tuesday.
