There are tons of activities this weekend to celebrate Independence Day in Rome and Floyd County.

Cave Spring will host its Liberty Day celebration Saturday.

The events will kick off at 4 p.m. with registration for the .5K Beer Run at the welcome center and the Liberty Day Pageants at City Hall.

There will be live music from 5 until 9 p.m. with the fireworks display beginning at dark.

Also Saturday, the 8th Annual Lindale Independence Day Celebration will feature a parade, a festival, and for the first time, a car show.

The parade lineup is at 9:30 a.m. at Pepperell Primary School. It will make its way up Park Avenue starting at 10.

The car inaugural car show at the park is from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will feature show cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even tractors.

Proceeds from the car show will benefit the Kids at Christmas program.

The festival is on South First Street and is also from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Over 40 vendors have signed up, according to Tim Reynolds with Restoration Lindale.

“We have a BBQ food truck,” he said. “Sharp’s BBQ will be with us again this year. We’ll have funnel cakes, baked goods, arts and crafts, and homemade jewelry for the ladies.”

Cave Spring’s 4th of July Parade will be on Tuesday.

The lineup for motorized vehicles will be on Perry Farm Road facing Alabama Street starting at 8:15. Those walking in the parade need to gather at the lawnmower shop.
