The Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force confiscated weapons and illicit drugs over the weekend during two separate search warrant operations.
Among others, the searches uncovered sizable amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and fentanyl mixed with other drugs.
The first was at 13 Russell Street, where investigators recovered two firearms, marijuana, 7 grams of methamphetamine, and 43 rocks of crack cocaine that was packaged for resale.
Five people were arrested and charged with various drug offenses, plus one who was a convicted felon with guns.
The second search was at 306B Myrtle Street, where the drug task force found 1 kilogram of a fentanyl-cocaine mixture, marijuana, cocaine, Ecstasy pills, methamphetamine, and individual fentanyl pills.
Two people were arrested there for drug offenses and weapons offenses as convicted felons.

● John McCombs: Possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects
● Cedric Jackson: Possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and theft by receiving stolen property
● Diane Carmichael: Possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects
● Joe Ford: Possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects
