Woman charged with burglary, theft

A 37-year-old Rome woman was jailed Thursday on charges of 2nd-degree burglary, theft by taking, and theft by receiving stolen property.

According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:

Jessica Lauren Lyons entered an unoccupied structure on Forsyth Street on May 27 and stole items belonging to the victim.

She was also caught with a stolen 2006 Infiniti G35 that was hidden in the woods behind her Hasty Road residence.

Bicyclist accused of fighting with officers

A Rome man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly resisted arrest and kicked a police officer.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

37-year-old Robert Allen Bost initially gave police a false name and date of birth and then refused to be handcuffed.

Bost then hit his head against the back window of the patrol car.

When he was placed inside, he kicked out the back window completely.

As he was being put into a second patrol car, he kicked an officer in the vest.

Bost was initially approached by Floyd County Police on Third Street for operating a bicycle without lights and on the wrong side of the roadway.

He is charged with felony and misdemeanor obstruction of officers, interference with government property, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, giving a false name and date of birth, riding a bicycle without proper equipment, and riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the roadway.

Lindale man charged with being a fugitive

A 62-year-old Lindale man is facing felony fugitive from justice charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Anthony Jerome Martin was found to have an active warrant for his arrest in Alabama.

He also had a loaded firearm.

Martin was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, driving without insurance, and an expired license.
