Man arrested on multiple charges including aggravated assault

An Aragon man is accused of pointing a loaded gun at his mother back on May 6 at a home on Taylorsville Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

28-year-old Christopher Lewis Ford also threatened to kill the victim and obstructed law enforcement by discharging the firearm into the air.

Ford is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, felony obstruction of officers, pointing a gun at another, simple battery, reckless conduct, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, discharging a firearm while under the influence, and DUI.

Man charged in May 13 burglary

An Armuchee man was jailed Tuesday on a felony count of 1st-degree burglary.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

24-year-old Randall Phillip Lee Patterson broke into a residence on Martha Berry Highway, damaging the door on May 13.

He also stole less than $1,500 in property from the home.

Patterson is also charged with criminal trespass and theft by taking.
