The Rome City School Board will conduct a first reading and a public hearing regarding the proposed fiscal year 2024 budget when they meet Tuesday night.

The school board is also set to vote on a 2023 budget amendment.

The board will also recognize retiring personnel, the boys’ and girls’ track teams, the girls’ tennis team, the boys’ soccer team, the superintendent’s advisory council, the superintendent’s student advisory council, and the staff and student of the month.

Christian Barnes will present the focus on student achievement for Rome Middle School.

The board will also hear reports on attendance, ESPLOST V, and the A.D. Black Scholarship.

The meeting will be at the Rome City Schools College and Career Academy on Veterans Memorial Highway. The caucus starts at 4 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 5:45 p.m.
