Staff Reports –

Gordon County has announced that Ranger Georgia has officially lost its status as a town.

The legislation was introduced into the Georgia General Assembly back in March of this year with the intent of stripping Ranger of its municipal status after repeatedly not providing basic services for citizens.

(Representative Matt Barton)

On Friday afternoon local Representative, Matt Barton, stated that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed the local legislation dissolving the town Charter.

The Gordon County government website released a public notice stating that it will now provide government services to the community and will have crews in the area next week.
