Update: Fatal wreck reported Wednesday afternoon in Bartow

Update:

According to WBHF Radio, A man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Bartow County has been identified.

Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton identified 44-year-old Lawrence Bollinger of Fort Payne Alabama, who perished in a crash on Highway 41 at Mac Johnson Road last Wednesday afternoon.

A two-vehicle accident on Highway 41 resulted in a fatality Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 1:04 p.m.

Troopers were dispatched to a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 41 at Mac Johnson Road.

A white Toyota sedan was traveling in the left turning lane of the highway south, attempting to make a U-turn onto the north side of the highway. A blue Ford F-150 was traveling in the left lane of Highway 41 northbound.

The Toyota failed to yield for the white Toyota sedan, striking the right front of the vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota succumbed to his injuries on scene, and the driver of the F-150 was transported to Cartersville Medical Facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic on nearby connecting roads was also impacted by the accident.
