Woman accused of firing a gun at moving vehicle

A 26-year-old Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with aggravated assault.

According to the warrant:

Star-Rhett Shalisha Ja’Cole McHenry fired a gun on a moving vehicle as it was leaving the area on West Callahan Street.

The alleged incident occurred on Monday of this week.

Woman charged in October burglary

A Rome woman has been arrested in a burglary that occurred on Oct. 17, 2022, at a location on Calhoun Road.

According to the arrest warrant:

39-year-old Tosha Marie King entered a locked building and took several large tote containers, suitcases, and other miscellaneous items that were being stored.

King was identified through security photos and witnesses who overheard conversations tying King to the crime.

Some of the stolen items were located at King’s residence on Todd Street.

King is charged with 2nd-degree burglary.

Summerville man facing meth possession charges in Floyd County

A Summerville man who was reportedly in possession of four grams of methamphetamine at a location on Martha Berry Highway last year was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

45-year-old Jacob Freund Barnes was also found with a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.

He is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Report: Teen overheard saying he was going to sell THC at school

 A Rome teenager was arrested Tuesday on Veterans Memorial Highway on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

17-year-old Ricky Nunez had vapes containing THC and was heard by a witness saying he was going to sell them at school.

Nunez is charged with felony counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession with the intent to distribute.
