Report: Teen broke another’s wrist

A teenager has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with aggravated battery.

According to the warrant:

17-year-old Quinaryah Nivael McKnight broke the wrist of another female on Tuesday of last week.

The incident location on the warrant was listed as 1000 Veterans Memorial Highway, which is Rome High School.

Man charged with aggravated animal cruelty

A 41-year-old Rome man was arrested Monday on felony aggravated animal cruelty charges.

According to the arrest warrants:

Tranis Kenkade Broughton failed to get veterinary care for his dogs.

One of the dogs suffered from a serious heartworm condition while another suffered from untreated mange.

Both conditions can lead to death if untreated.

Broughton is also accused of releasing four dogs on Mango Road near Wayside Road, resulting in four counts of abandonment of animals.

Woman accused of taking $300 from the counter at West Rome store

A Rome woman was arrested at her Hasty Road home Monday on a misdemeanor warrant charging her with theft by taking.

According to the warrant:

37-year-old Jessica Laura Lyons was seen taking $300 from behind the counter of a store at 1818 Redmond Circle before exiting the store and leaving in a Chevy Trailblazer.

The incident occurred on Saturday, according to the warrant.
