The Floyd County Commission will conduct public hearings on three items from the planning commission when they meet Tuesday.

The Cedar Creek RV & Outdoor Center in Cave Spring is seeking a special use permit to add 10 to 12 more recreational vehicle sites near its recreation area.

A special use permit to build an RV park on 22 acres on Burton Road is also on the agenda, along with a request from the YMCA to build a multi-use recreational facility at Grizzard Park.

Also Tuesday, the commission will honor employees with 10 to 35 years of service and present proclamations for Crime Victims Rights Week, National Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Various purchases for the police department, jail, district attorney’s office, and prison are also on the agenda for the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at the county administration building.

The caucus, which begins at 4 p.m., will include an executive session for the discussion of the acquisition of property, litigation, and personnel.
