Floyd County Commission meets Tuesday

The Floyd County Commission will consider a resolution to approve opioid litigation settlements with several companies when they meet Tuesday.

The City of Rome has also approved documents to participate in the settlements.

Other agenda items include a recommendation from the county clerk’s office to deny a beer license for consumption off-premises for Track Food Mart on Burlington Road due to it being a prohibited location.

Proclamations for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month will also be read during the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m.

Commissioners will tour the E-911 Center to see the renovations that have been made at 3:30 p.m.

The caucus will begin at 4:15, in which there will be an executive session to discuss the acquisition of property, litigation, and personnel.
