The Floyd County Commission has approved the hiring of Chris Fincher as the new assistant emergency management agency director.

Fincher has been with the Floyd County Police Department for 20 years.

“He has served as hiring manager for the Floyd County Police Department, county engagement liaison, public information officer, and social media manager,” said County Manager Jamie McCord. “This is a big loss for PD, but I think it’s a gain for EMA. We look forward to keeping him on our staff and looking forward to him growing his career with EMA.”
