-Rome Police Department report-

Rome Police responded to a shooting incident late Wednesday in the area of Calhoun Avenue and Perkins Street.

According to the police report:

An officer arrived to find a woman in the Stop and Go food mart parking lot with a gunshot wound to her right, left shin, and calf area.

The officer applied a tourniquet.

Witnesses told police that the victim and a man had been involved in a physical altercation just before the shooting occurred.
