A woman has been arrested in a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Floyd County man.
28-year-old Sharad Robinson had been missing since Dec. 18. Authorities believe he was struck by a vehicle while walking toward Cedartown on Highway 27 that same day.
Robinson’s body was not discovered until Dec. 26.
24-year-old Chasmine Miye’ Lowe was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol and booked into the Polk County Jail early last week. She is charged with felony counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, and hit and run resulting in serious injury or death.
She is also charged with misdemeanor failure to maintain lane and failure to report an accident resulting in injury, damage, or death.
