Salvation Army raises the White Flag ahead of Cold Weekend Conditions

Salvation Army of Rome –

With the frigid temperatures ahead for this weekend, The Salvation Army of Rome will operate under its “white flag” policy. During the nights when the temperature drops to 32 degrees or lower, anyone may come inside at 7:00 pm to sleep on a cot with a blanket. They will be provided with breakfast the next morning and hot coffee before departing the property at 10:00 am. A hot dinner meal for anyone is served every night from 5-6 pm. If you know someone in need of overnight shelter during these cold nights ahead, please make sure they know about our “white flag” at 7:00 pm nightly located at 317 East 1st Avenue in Rome, Georgia.
