Cave Springs Woman Charged With Shoplifting and Terroristic Threats Along With Other Charges

A 32-year-old Cave Springs woman was arrested at the BP gas station on Shorter Ave. on Thursday evening. Bonnie Jean Thew allegedly took a Pepsi and began to consume it without paying. According to the affidavit, Thew left the gas station without paying for the drink and this is when the victim and an employee approached her and tried to stop her. Thew then throws her drink at the victim who received a violent injury. Thew is charged with shoplifting, simple battery, obstruction of a law enforcement officer when she refused to stop and identify herself after being given lawful commands to do so. Terroristic threats when she made a threat to an officer saying, “you’re going to get shot tonight”. Possession of a schedule l controlled substance when she had a bag of meth in her front pocket. Crossing the guard line with drugs when she crossed the guard line with the meth bag in her possession.
