Northwest Georgia under Wind Advisory as Tropical Storm Nicole approaches

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City Gordon County, Bartow County, Polk County, and Floyd County will remain under a wind advisory until 7 PM Friday. The remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole are expected to impact Northwest Georgia bringing up to potentially 3 inches of rainfall. Northeast winds estimated to be up to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected for the area. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects. Tree limbs could also be blown down making power outages a possibility. The national weather service advises extra caution while driving in these conditions if operating a high-profile vehicle.
