A 32-year-old Rome woman was arrested by the Rome Police Department on Sunday for Child Cruelty and Battery Charges. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Josefina Gomez Gutierez allegedly struck a 17-year-old victim’s face causing visible injuries in an incident that occurred on Wingfield Street. Gutierez is being charged with 1st-degree felony cruelty to children and simple battery.
