Cedartown man arrested after leading Police on Foot Chase

A 31-year-old Cedartown man was arrested by the Rome Police Department on Saturday at an address on Turner McCall Blvd.

According to Floyd County Jail Records, Zachary Lydell Carter of a Reeceburg Road residence allegedly led officers on a foot chase following an attempted license plate traffic stop.

After Officers took him into custody, Carter was found to be driving on a suspended license and also had an apparent warrant out for his arrest.

Carter is charged with battery (Family Violence), acquiring a license plate for the purpose of concealing the identity of a vehicle, driving on a suspended license, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, driving without insurance, and contempt of court.
