Rome Man arrested after leading Police on high-speed Chase

On Monday the Floyd County Police Department arrested a Rome man after he fled from police in a high-speed chase.

According to Floyd County Jail Records, when police pulled over 23-year-old Chance Dalton Beam for running a stop sign, he allegedly fled in his vehicle on highway 101 at speeds over 100 mph.  

Beam eventually stopped his vehicle and attempted to prevent police from arresting him. Floyd County Police also found that Beam was driving on a suspended license.

Beam is being charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, driving on a suspended license, speeding, failing to yield, and attempting to elude a police officer.
