Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain David Thornton along with a group of others visited New Life Atlanta Church on July 24th with supplies to donate to the Ukrainian Police Force.

According to Chaplain Thornton, their local group was able to come together to provide 30 Tactical Vests, 200 wool blankets, 200 pairs of BDU pants, and a $1,000 dollar donation for Ukrainian officers serving during this time of war.

There was also a brief message given by Chaplain Thornton that was recorded and translated into Ukrainian for the recipients of the donation. 

These donations, along with others, will be taken to Ukraine by Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain, Aleks Gerasimov to provide any aid possible to the Ukrainian people during the Russian Invasion.
