The Floyd County Board of Education will hold a work session and board retreat Thursday morning.

The meeting is will be held in the superintendent’s office at the school system’s central office on Riverside Parkway.

Topics of discussion include the school systems security plan as it relates to policy, staff training, buildings, and funding.

Internet technology security will also be discussed.

Also on the agenda is the plan for ESPLOST revenues including timelines for projects and priorities.

Teacher recruitment and retention plans, school nurses, and free and reduced meals will also be discussed

An evaluation of the superintendent is also on the agenda.
