Search warrant leads to meth, animal cruelty charges

Two Rome men were arrested on West Little Indian Trail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 46-year-old Clinton Daniel West and 35-year-old Garrett Dewayne Ridge were found with meth, digital scales, and plastic bags during the execution of a search warrant.

West was also charged with four felony counts of cruelty to animals.

The report states that West caused the death of a lizard, and neglected one snake and three dogs.

One dog was discovered in poor physical condition.

All three dogs were living in deplorable conditions with waste in their living space.
