This is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

April 26, 2022–10:22 a.m.

FLOYD COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Each April since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week recognizes the needs and rights of victims and survivors. The theme for 2022 is Rights, Access, Equity, for all victims.

Our Floyd County Victim Witness Assistance Program was established in 1986 as a department of the Rome District Attorney’s Office.

Victim Advocates provide notification of court events and support to crime victims and their families.

Victim Advocates ensure that victims are afforded the rights to which they are entitled under the Georgia Crime Victims Bill of Rights.

Services provided to victims by this program are numerous and can be found by visiting https://www.floydcountyga.gov/…/victim-assistance-program
