Blanchard named to Rome school board

ROME CITY SCHOOLS

Rome City Schools’ Board of Education called a special board meeting on March 29, 2022, to interview two final candidates, Antonia LaShun Blanchard and Erin Hernandez, for the purpose of filling the vacant board member seat. 

Each candidate participated in a 10-minute interview. Board members unanimously voted to appoint Blanchard to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of John Uldrick. Judge Bryan T. Johnson was present to swear-in Blanchard as the newest member of the Rome City Schools Board of Education. 

Lastly, the board approved the personnel list for reappointment for the 2022-2023 school year.
