The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission has completed a Development of Regional Impact review regarding a plan for more than 51 acres at 962 Union Grove Road in Gordon County.

The property is currently zoned agricultural in the unincorporated portion of the county, but plans are to annex the land into the City of Calhoun.

Seefried Development Management is proposing an 800,000 sq ft. logistics building.

Highlights of the DRI include an eastern driveway entrance that is proposed on the limited access right of way off Highway 53.

Calhoun will require the developer to pay for sewer expansion and easement acquisition.

The USDA also commented the project converts farmland and a conversion rating must be obtained if Federal Funds are used on the project.
