(Via WZQZ Radio) A registered sex offender is headed to prison after being convicted of molesting a seven-year-old girl in Chattooga County.

George C. Gilham of a Plum Street, Trion address was first convicted of child molestation in 1997 when he was accused of molesting two girls in Floyd County.

Gilham was listed as a registered sex offender at the time of the molestation incident in Chattooga County.  Gilham confessed to molesting the girl and was sentenced to ten years in prison with twenty years probation.

This will be Gilham’s fourth trip to prison.
