Georgia gas prices are up 32 cents compared to just a week ago.

Georgia motorists are now paying an average price of $4.29 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

Monday’s state average is also 96 cents more than last month and $1.61 more than this time last year.

It now costs motorists $64.35 to fill a 15-gallon tank of regular gasoline.

AAA says there are simple ways to get the most for your money when you fill up.

To start with, ensure your vehicle is properly maintained, so you get optimal fuel economy.

Unfortunately, drivers should anticipate gas prices to remain high for weeks to come.

Local averages on Monday were $4.25 in Floyd County, $4.27 in Gordon County, $4.29 in Bartow County, $4.31 in Polk County, and $4.07 in Chattooga County.
