The vehicle involved in a fatal accident involving a bicyclist has been located along with the driver of that vehicle have been located.

Rome Police Officers are continuing the investigation.

According to previous reports, at approximately 7:49 pm on Redmond Circle near Westside Industrial Boulevard, a cyclist was traveling southbound when an unknown white pick-up truck approached from the rear and struck the cyclist.

After the crash, the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

According to Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, the bicyclist, 20-year old Joseph Campbell, was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:48 p.m.
