Rome-Floyd Recycling Center Releases New Logo

February 21st, 2022 – 12:20 PM

Press Release –

The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center is excited to release a new logo that provides a fresh brand identity for the facility. “We worked with Sydnie Horton of Sydnie Horton Design to find the perfect logo to represent where the Recycling Center is headed,” commented Emma Wells, Floyd County Solid Waste Director.

“We wanted something that was simple, modern, and recognizable so that citizens know they can reach out to us for any recycling questions.”

The new logo features several formats to best suit print or online publications and will be updated on signage at the Floyd County Remote Sites and the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center.

Wells noted that new signs at the Center will clarify what is accepted.

About the Recycling Center: Rome and Floyd County have a long history of recycling in an effort to keep our community beautiful. The 2013 SPLOST Citizens Advisory Committee allocated $1,379,000.00 to the building or purchasing of a new facility to allow for expansion of the Recycling Center.

The center was relocated to 412 Lavender Drive for recycling operations.  The building has been fully operational since early 2018. Curbside recycling is provided for all City of Rome residents.

All items collected at the curbside are taken to the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center.

Residents in the unincorporated areas of the County can bring their recyclable items to their local remote sites, or bring recyclables to the Center’s 24/7 drop-off area.
