We saw an improvement last week in COVID-19 numbers in the local school systems.

From January 31 until February 4, Floyd County Schools reported 34 student cases and four staff cases.

That is down from 74 student cases and seven staff cases from January 24 to January 28.

Rome City Schools reported 26 total cases from January 28 to February 3.

That is down from 48 cases the week before.
