A Walker County man has been named Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership winner.

Robert William Rutledge, a drafting technology student at GNTC’s Walker County campus will now compete in the state GOAL competition in Atlanta in April.

Meanwhile, Crista Resch, director of Ultrasound programs and instructor of Vascular Sonography, was named GNTC’s winner of the Rick Perkins Award of Excellence in Technical Instruction.

The winners were announced during a luncheon Tuesday at GNTC’s Gordon County Campus in Calhoun.

The presentation also recognized Calhoun resident Shannon Edwards as Georgia Northwestern’s 2022 Dinah Culbreath Wayne EAGLE Leadership Institute representative.
