COVID-19 status report for January 20

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

262 more COVID-19 cases were reported in Floyd County, according to Thursday’s status report from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The new cases bring the total to 20,727 since the start of the pandemic.

We are now at 2,784 cases in the last two weeks.

Three confirmed deaths were also reported between Wednesday and Thursday.

Bartow County reported 97 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths Thursday.

Gordon County had 69 new cases and one death.

Chattooga County had 49 cases and no deaths while Polk County reported 66 positive tests Thursday and one death.

Statewide, there were 16,707 new positives reported on Tuesday with 113 confirmed deaths.
