The investigation into a house explosion that killed a woman in Polk County over the weekend continues.

The explosion occurred at around 10 a.m. Saturday at 73 Winkle Road, which is just off Highway 27, south of Cedartown.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to assist in the investigation, but according to the Polk Standard Journal, foul play is not suspected.

The explosion completely leveled the home and caused damage to nearby structures.
